GF4 MX400 v. GF2 Ti450

Ok, I'm starting from scratch.. Anyone wanna give me a primer on why one card is better than the other, and what's the difference between MX and Ti, besides age?

I am thinking about raw FPS and 3dmark scores.

I honestly don't know tons about the GF4 MX cards. From what I've read they are re=packaged GF2 mockups. I'd only get one if the price was right. It should perform on par with most GF2 (even the Ultra)...

I actually went with the GF2 Ti450. It's stilling sitting on the floor in it's retail box. It's for my bro-in-law's machine and he's not bringing it over until next weekend. I looked at the box, and there's a picture of the "performance" software... with dials for GPU & MEM.... I'm dying to stick it in one of my boxes just to test it out... I know it's not top of the line, but I figure it should blow away anything I have in my house.

Since I can't wait, I really want to know what this card can do. I've seen ads for the GF4MX200, and it's more expensive, but I honestly don't know what distinguishes it besides price.

GeForce 4 MX, or N17, is a GeForce 2 on steroids. It's basically a Geforce 2 with systems in place make more efficient use of memory bandwidth . . .

As a matter of fact New Egg has the Visiontek Xtasy 5632 GTS/V for $53.00 including 3day fed Ex shipping. The chip is actually new tech and Visiontek is the first manu to come out with it. I picked up two last week and they really rock. 256bit 32MB DDR ram REV. C 5.5nsram OC'd 200/333 with Powerstrip 3.15 using 21.83 driver and 3.15 bios. Fan on GPU ( no cooling on ram). This website has an excellent review of the card and explains some of the main topic of this thread. www.hardwarepub.com/reviews/VisiontekXtasy/
