Looks like this is going to be ATI's answer to Nvidia's value segment GeForce 4 MX cards. These cards like the GeForce 2 and 4 MX cards will have a twin pixel pipeline. But unlike the Nvidia offerings, this baby is rumored to support Direct X 8.0, which means this will be the value card for Doom 3 . . .

If the Rv250 is something new, I have not heard about this card as yet. I have read about the R250
The R250 is the vid card that will perform well against the nVidia GF4Ti4200.
It is far above any of the MX cards. Since all the MX cards are a GF2 card with some extras added,.
The R250 is one and a half times faster than the R200 or 8500 as we know it now.
This video card will be available to the retail purchasers by the end of April 2002.
