Sennheiser HD800 @ CES

Gizmodo had a little workup on these: Sennheiser HD 800 Headphones: German Engineering at Its Finest - Gizmodo Australia

But a head-fi user has also done a nice little review from CES: The Sennheiser HD 800: The First Listen, The First Review - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

Do... Want...

Sadly it looks to be US$1400 territory with a scalper's markup due to short supply at the moment. But damn... Still love my Hd595s but maybe now that they're replaced by this some cheap used HD650s are on the cards.

Got to hand it to the Germans, when they're not invading Poland they do some beautiful work.

Sennheiser's are just sexy as hell, period.

I really need to invest in some decent ones. These are well out of my price range. Does anyone want to point me in the right direction for some others that are worth buying?

depends what kind of music you like, whether you prefer actual sound quality or just heavy treble and bass.
