Right now the best bang for the buck (in my opinion) is the EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 275 & it OCs like crazy...$249 at the egg.
Even still with my average income being $0.00 it's way out of my budget range.
It would be a nice upgrade from my 8800GTS.

One day, one day....
