They're both good cards, I own the turtle beach and have only good things to say about it, the features on the audigy are not anything I need, for a few bucks less I grabbed the turtle beach card.

Question

I was looking at the rating charts of sound cards and all three of the above mentioned were in the same class.
There was some above these, 1st class or A class, but they are extremely expensive and I doubt that you or I would notice any difference in our systems with the equipment we are using.

We have both the Santa Curz and the SB Live.
The SBlive is in the wifes system and she is happy with it.
I was not happy with the SBL card in my system because of some popping noise and file corruption with the Asus A7M266 system I had at that time.
When I built the Epox system, I was sold on the Santa Cruz, it offers all the features of any other sound system.
You may purchase the added features of a remote controled external sound system and hook your 5.1 speakers to it.
I prefer to hook my speakers directly to the sound card and use them this way.
The sound is great, good enough for me.
We mainly use head sets.
Two systems in the same room using speakers is not a good idea.
