memory
 
i have 1 gig of pc3200 ddrram and have found a spare gig of pc 2700 ram what would happen if i put them all in mobo together mobo will take up to 4 gig

the 3200 will run at 2700 for one....

Weakest link here,
They will all slow down to the slowest mem that you have.

unless the 2700 is cas 2.. then you could set it to cas 2.5 and pssibly be able to run both @ 400 mhz.
do some research and find the id# from directly on the memory and find out what it can run @.
i have bought lots of memory in the past that would run faster @ stock voltage by changing timimngs. and with no performance loss(well maybe 30mb/s). Mostly infineon stuff.

thanks for all the replys i ran the memmory in pairs with the 3200 it ran ok but because of the board and bios it was a little too much for them and when i checked they were giving off too much heat so i have removed them, will now have to go buy matched sticks of 3200 to join the others :thumbsup:
