megadrive (genisis) controller to usb?

how would you interface a megadrive controller to USB?

With an interface chip of some description.

What are you trying to do with a megadrive pad?

use it on my pc, i know there are paralell interfaces that people have made for it, but my paralell ports are all used up

It's probably easier just to buy a USB joypad instead.

It is possible to build your own interface from megadrive to USB, but the amount of effort (and money) you will expend doing so isn't really worth it.

you can get a serialport-jack thing a mabobber to use the controller. I used to use one on my commodore64...

driver, on the other hand...

Ive seen them for PS and SNES pads, never seen for Sega pads though

Calgar was banned, there is a strict code of conduct here at AOA, start saying that using cracked software is ok and your out. People put in the hours for software and when they find out that people are stealing it and distributing it across the net, just think how they must feel.
