Crashed!

I might have to start doubting your recomdations, ccp. What I thought, and I was just thinking about it yesterday, what was a great combo-the biostar board, the E4300, and the rest of my rig-might have to be re-examined. It's been so smooth and quick. I was thinking that it was a better rig than what I had hoped for and then It crashed!
Of course it would't have anything to do with this old C-media 5.1 sound card with drivers made for windows ME, and that I was listening to Janis Joplins Pearl at the time
ccp, I just don't know if you have it any more.

I never said it would run Janis Joplin without crashing. Whatever you do, do not try to play any Bee Gees.

HA HA!! I would hate to see what the tunes I listen to would do to your rig. It would probably launch the C-media card right out of the PCI slot and bounce it across the carpet..

RAP? You're joking right?

I pretty much stick to Thrash Metal. Currently listening to a local band, Flotsam and Jetsam. While not as hard as most stuff I listen to, I've seen them many times at local venues and some good times..

Youtuber of the band.. YouTube - Flotsam and Jetsam - Suffer the Masses

My tastes are very eclectic. It all depends on my mood. For some really good jazz/blues: Zucchero, Van Morrison, Morcheeba.
Country; Willy & Waylon-The highway men, the Dixie Chicks.
70's rock:Jethro Tull. Joe Cocker, Dr.Hook, Janis.
Female vocals: Etta James, Eva Cassidy, Moya Brennen.
I am aware that I don't have anything in my collection any newer than early 80's. Maybe I'm stuck in a rut!

I've got my sound card out so I'll go to your link tomorrow

No, I can definitely say i don't have that in my collection! The closest I get to that is Bad Co., Foreigner, Foghat, or Loverboy. Even in rock I stayed away from metal. I don't find any of it's branches sounding good to me.

My music tastes are not what you would call 'refined'. I've got some Beatles on vinyl but that's about it from that era. My first live show was KISS when I was 9 so I have spent my whole life in the different forms of metal..

You were a deprived child [or is that depraved? Don't suppose it makes to much difference!]

The reason mine varies so much is my being Bi-polar.
Bi-Polar is all about mood. It's the reason I don't have long term relationships, friends or lovers. Moods can very from the day or the month or by the year. People never know just who is going to show up and get tired of it. You've seen some of that here at AOA.
It's why my music varies so much. At a given mood, I'll want music that will touch me, that will affect my heart and make me feel.
For a while, i might want music that is just for fun, Dr Hook, or Paul McCartney 'All the world really wants is a silly love song.'
My cycles will shift and maybe i want rock.
So you see my music reflects my mood cycles. That is why I've got music from Billie Holliday and Morcheeba to Heart and Bob Seager.

We value our members. If one of them is in personal difficulty and cannot conduct them selfs as they would "normally" wish to... I intercede, If I cannot persuade,... I temperately ban...until things settle and the spirit of fellowship returns.

We don't have any interest in punishing transgressions, only in preventing them.

Your place here is secure as long as you are capable of striving for fellowship and are desirous of it. ":O}
