Amazing, this will make for much larger capacity SSD's among other advancements. How the heck do they make the chips so danged small? Can't tell if they've abandoned light for electrons yet, anyone know?

When the costs come down & volume goes up!
 
This is when I will adopt SSD HD's, when the volume goes up & the costs come down. ;)
Hopefully this will help to open the doors in that direction.

As it stands right now to get a "Quality" flash HD you are looking at close to $500 for 160Gbs (SATA II) which is way out of my price range considering you can get a SATA II 500Gb HD for under $100! :rolleyes:

Would be really nice to have the speed increase & reliability of the SSD's though if money was no object.

At first, the SSD's were slower than HDD's. And people still bought them, I guess no moving parts is a big attraction.
