We be GRUBBED DUDE! ":O}

On second drive now. Suggest I restore it before we continue...or if you prefer we can change direction ... What I should have said when asked what I wanted to do.... What ever is easiest for you. You know of my concerns and I'm quite comfortable following.

There is no reason that the kernel upgrade should have borked grub. That makes no sense to me at all.

Ok, here's what you're going to have to do.

I'm assuming your backup drive is essentially the same as your restored drive? If so, don't bother doing a restore. Just format the main drive and install F10 from scratch. We'll go from there.

Both drives are 320gig Samsungs ATA on PCI IDE card formatted down by Fedora so I could simply restore Fedora over from a 300 gig drive to my new 320 Samsung....I get my 20 gigs back! ":O}

Ill have Fedora start from scratch...But Damn I had good run 7-10 without having to reinstall! ":O}

I'm going to take a chance and see if Fedora can update herself. Easy enough to start over":O}

Whoa! My bad! I just checked for updates! Even after I hit refresh, no new updates!

Fedora installed flawlessly BTW.

Did you install all of your repositories? Fedora comes with the default ones, but you were also using some non-default ones: Livna for one.

I've only installed the defualt and the two optional libs offered at install. I'll need to be baby stepped though the reinstall... as I was saying earlier...it's been quite a while since I've done this.

Oh! I'll need the url for the add on (Fire fox) that lets me copy in plain text, sorry to have to ask Gizmo...but I'm a bit in disarray at the moment! ":O}

Why is my system time update failing at boot? or at least saying it is, it updates fine at desktop...? ":O}

Open up a terminal and copy this into it.

Code:
 su -c 'rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm'
That will install the repos you need.

Ok, Daniel. I need for you to hook your backup drive up now, but still boot from your primary drive. Can you do that?

Right, now su and do the following:

Code:
mkdir /mnt/backup
mount /dev/sdb2 /mnt/backup
Once you've done that, see if you can browse to /mnt/backup/home and show me the contents of that directory.

Wow! I've been following this entire thread and I'd like to have an applause to Daniel for sticking it through with Daniel.
This is why I've stuck around so long at AOA, because the members are here to help and follow through. You'll see Fedora threads where Gizmo helped me.
I'm glad you are up and working Daniel.
I've had a lot of similar problems with my Fedora 8 reinstall.
But now I'm convinced that it is better to clean-install instead of update to a new version/kernel
I agree with Cliff too, start learning how to format the Fat 32 drives so you can decided what installs where and how large each partition is. I have played with them and am very happy with my current configuration using Ext3.
