Have you sent any emails on that install of thunderbird before? Or is this a new installation?

EDIT:: reason for asking is that, if you've sent emails before and you've not changed any of thunderbird's settings, then the problem is probably not at your end.

patti,
it's most likely not a good idea to post screenshots with all those addresses in plain sight on a public forum.

Might be a good idea to edit and scrub out the addresses with gimp or whatever you like to use.

Actually I have not attempted Send email on this install of thunderbird /fedora. No apparent problems receiving mail since Daniel loaded an updated fedora (copy his back-up) and then set up in my name. We've re-booted, with no more favorable results.

Let us know if there's a need to revert to most recent back-up with my DeskJet printer successfully installed and working fine for me. Shortly thereafter the struggle to grant Daniel's machine access to the printer commenced.

Where to begin? Thanks for the support!

In the calm that followed a fluster of oops damnits in the computer case manhandling department that lead to a brief but frustrating power loss - D admits to performance anxiety aka great big chickenness for a brief while (he says to convey this) - breathes deep, rechecks settings here and there and

Patti's able to receive AND SEND her emails now. yips!!!! Thanks guys and Daniel!
