Plymouth boot themes in Fedora

I just found out that Plymouth supports different boot 'themes', and Fedora has 4 different ones, although only two are installed by default.

To install the other themes:
Code:
yum install plymouth-plugin-* plymouth-theme-*
Once that's done, you can list the available plymouth themes by:
Code:
plymouth-set-default-theme --list
To see what the current default theme is:
Code:
plymouth-set-default-theme
To set the default theme to a different theme from the list of available themes (e.g. solar)
Code:
plymouth-set-default-theme solar
plymouth-update-initrd
substitute the appropriate theme name for 'solar' in the command above. The second command is necessary to compile the theme into your initrd ramdisk so that it gets used at boot time. Otherwise, the default theme will be changed but you'll see the old theme when you boot.

Plymouth also has a powerful scripting language which I've not yet had a chance to play with. We could create our own AOA boot screen, which would be kinda cool!

I'm scared!
My fedora 8 has been running great for over a year, if I mess up the boot record then I'll have to upgrade to Fedora 11

Plymouth didn't become available until F10, I think.
