Linux Mint 64 bit, FF & Front page

Not quite sure where to put this.
I installed Mint 8 64 bit on my AMD64, and when I open the forum's front page, I see the headers, buttons, and footers but everything in between is blank. I disabled all extensions including AdBlockPlus, so that isn't it.
I checked it on Opera and everything looks fine.
Everything looks fine on my 32bit machine with Mint8 and FF.

This is Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100214 Linux Mint/8 (Helena) Firefox/3.5.8

FF was crashing when opening a page with Flash, and I was able to fix that.

I'm using FF 3.5.8 here, but I'm on 64-bit Fedora 12. Anyhoo, everything looks fine to me.

For what it's worth, I've noticed some oddities with FF on my machine, but everyone else seems to notice no problems, and other browsers (e.g. Opera, Chrome) work just fine.

As an example, the initial nVidia page (the one you get when you go to Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies and don't have any nVidia cookies; it asks you what country you are in and then redirects you to the appropriate country-specific page) will NOT work properly for me under FF, no matter what I try or how I hold my tongue. Works just fine under FF on every other machine I've tried, including other Fedora 12 (and 11; I had the problem on 11 as well) machines, and it works find under Opera or Chrome on my machine.

Another site: My Vintage Baby Retail Catalog is supposed to redirect me to a catalog page. Under FF, this doesn't work, but apparently only on my machine, other machines with FF work just fine, and it works fine with Chrome and Opera on my machine.

This is weird. If I go to this page-
Not the same
the only page number links at the top of the page that works is 1. If I scroll to the bottom, they all work.

No, there isn't. We prefer browsers that at least work most of the time, as opposed to browsers that only work on sites that have deliberately conformed to Microsoft's broken interpretation of web standards because of all the brain-dead lackeys that refuse to demand software that actually works, particularly when they paid good money for it to start with.

Actually, if I wanted to use IE, I can use it through wine, wine doors or Play on Linux. I don't even use IE in Vista. FF is so much more configurable, imo. Themes and extensions like Speed Dial and XMarks. It would be nice if MS gave the average person a little control over their browser.
I really thought it was more of a 32bit app running on a 64bit OS problem. So far, the only things I can't do on Linux that I do on Vista, are install Yahoo Games, print online coupons, and get a virus.

I had all manner of weird issues with FF 3.5 on Linux, ranging from incomplete page loads, scripts failing to execute (even when allowed by NoScript), screen tearing and so on.

Most of these seem to be resolved in FF 3.6. Try upgrading?

Front page now works in FF 3.5.8 Linux Mint/8 64. Not sure exactly why. I have re-installed Mint and this time I'm not using that particular adblocker, so that may have been the culprit (even though I had it turned off when I got the blank page before).
