Folding help please

can someone walk me through the steps to install and run folding @ home on Ubuntu.....i appreciate any help with this.....i am still a linux newbie.

I think ThunderRd has this working on Sidux, which is a Debian clone, similar to Ubuntu. He should be able to help you out.

Unfortunately, (unless I'm mistaken) you are running a 32-bit version on that Barton. You must be running 64-bit Linux to run the SMP folding client. You need to install some 32-bit dependencies, but the OS must be 64-bit.

Short of that, you could run the classic single core client on 32-bit, but the yields are much smaller. We can help you either way.

To keep the folding questions in the right place, post back in the Linux clients section of the Folding area, and tell me:

Your OS version and 64/32 bit
Your type of internet connection
Power supply model
memory type/brand
