Thanks Booman...as you've seen I was in good company! ":O}

Really Booman I just can't see a guy of your abilities having a bit of trouble with either Mint. U.Mint does install your Nvidia card like they owned stock in the company!! ":O}

D'Mint is, as you've seen only a trifle harder to do.

Besides I need all the reliable sources I can get!! ":O}

I"m tempted. I have installed mint and played with it.
What I really need is... to install Linux on one of my extra machines and see how the game play with newer hardware.
I would even try Cadega to see how well most of the Windows games run.
If I had a lot of success, then I would be willing to switch to Linux for most of my gaming needs.
But there is the "steam" issue. Steam doesn't natively run on Linux.... yet

Ah yes Steam! Lot's of us are waiting to see what steam can do!

A LOT of games are native Linux, a bit of a hoopla to install... but then all my Quake games and Doom played as well or better in Linux.

Steam for Linux is due to be released about the same time as Duke Nukem Forever.
