Tweakin Grub

I just built a new machine with some modern hardware and want to run Linux along with Windows 7.
I tried it in the past and found that unless you press a key at the right time, it will always boot to Linux.
Do you guys have some good tips for modifying GRUB so I can have a option to boot into OS's every time I start the computer?

As always, make sure that GRUB is your boot loader, as the WindowsNT boot loader isn't very friendly to non-windows OSen.

As for tweaking GRUB, the best thing to do is to comment out the timeout setting, like so:

#timeout=3

That will give you an infinite timeout in GRUB (GRUB 1, dunno about GRUB 2, and have no desire too, IMO GRUB 2 is a solution in search of a problem...)

Thanks Gizmo
I'm going to start with Fedora 13... just because
I'll try commenting out Grub so it won't automatically boot into Fedora.
I have read, install windows first then Linux and they will "get along"

If you have any problems booting, post the /boot/grub/grub.conf file and we should be able to get you going. The output of "fdisk -l" (no quotes) run as root would also be needed to help identify your drive designations.

I did see that during the boot process, I can press "E" to edit the grub file
