Sadly my Wine has taken a dump. I've uninstalled it and re-installed it too many times. Now it won't work at all.
Probably something to do with my attempts at getting Borderlands to work.

I even did a
Quote:
sudo apt-get remove wine
and it says there is nothing to remove
yet the wine icon is still in my menu and still launches.
I need to find a way to remove it from the system completely or a way to update it to its original settings.
Otherwise, its back to the drawing board and re-installing Mint 13.

I think that is for uninstalling the programs you installed with Wine.
I'll try it tonight.
I found a few articles in their forums about Gecko and updating wine.
Apparently its buggy for some people in Mint 13.... as I have found
It worked great at first, but as I installed/uninstalled more programs, then it went down-hill.

Sorry if I'm somewhat OT here. My proprietary Lenovo desktop machine ignores the fact that I changed the boot drive order in BIOS. Any advice to make the box follow the user's directions?

Start a new thread so people notice your post a bit better. There are several potential reasons, so include details about your disk setup and the OS (or OSes) you use.
