Thats the thing, no matter how many times I go into additional drivers it just shows me the installed internal modem and thats it. Nothing else...

From what Chris was saying, it looks like his laptop has an Intel graphics adapter, not an nVidia one.

I'm not sure that comparing an OS from 2012 with an OS from 200 is really a fair comparison. If you want to make comparisons, maybe you should be comparing it to RedHat 6.1 - we're talking the same year that Mozilla's browser got support to connect to SSL servers.

For a more modern comparison, Windows 7 shipped with a set of nVidia drivers, so didn't need me to install any drivers.

Red face

I know Aedan said somewhere that intel should be recognised by Ubuntu but it's not my case, don't know why...

Your point is of course valid, I use 2000 Pro because that's all I know! ":O}

Talking

I am running it, it recognised my intel gfx and allowed me to change from line in to mic, so thats a good start! What is really amazing is that in the gaming section under FPS there are so many available games I never heard of that I had a hard time installing any of em! Take a look for yourself, isn't this amazing???
