Not much from gnome there at all.

When you have time, try outputting top [note: not htop] to a file as I showed you, with nothing running, and post it here. It will show us how much cpu and memory usage there is from the idle processes.

By the way, I figured out how to see the Openbox Terminal text.
1. Log into Openbox
2. Open the Terminal
3. Right-click
4. Select Profiles
5. Click on Profile preferences
6. Select Colors
7. uncheck "Use colors from system theme"
8. Close

I think you're good to go. Nothing there is sucking up resources.

Now, you have to figure out the easiest way to start your games up. Since the normal Alt-F2 isn't present in OB, you could do something like this:

Alt-F2 on Openbox | Nani Land

Of course, those instructions are for Arch, but I've checked, and there's a package in the Mint repos. Just install 'gmrun' through Synaptic instead of pacman, and then follow the instructions for your rc.xml file. It doesn't look difficult, and the edits are short.

After it's installed and configured, you just type alt-f2 and a dialog comes up into which you type what you want to start; you don't need a terminal window open.

Us Windows gamers only need to run PlayOnLinux and Steam... its those native Linux games that create their own shortcuts in the games folder or elsewhere that I have problems with.

If right-click opens the Openbox menu, it would be nice to have PlayOnLinux, Steam & the Games menu for more distros

Found my first bug with Openbox!
I installed Hard Reset with PlayOnLinux and it runs perfectly!
So of course I tried to launch it in Openbox to get a few more frames per second and the resolution screws up.
Kinda like the screen zoomed in too far and now I can't see whole screen and my HUD.
I'll try it again, but I don't know how to set the resolution in Openbox cause there is no menu... nor do I want to because the game sets it for me.

Something is going on there.... not sure what it is
