Question Ubuntu why are you retarded?

Lets say I need Adobe Flash to see a short clip and when I click on install it gives me several choices, and I choose APT for Ubuntu 10.4 click on download and select the default software center to open the app. Then it tells me that it can't find the package, either I am doing something wrong or Ubuntu's latest version is retarded!

Thank you for letting me say Mint 14.

May I just say CINNAMON.

Thank you for letting me say CINNAMON!

Chris if you run into any problems, Cinnamon is what Boo and I know best and are most likely to have an answer for.

Don't sit alone in frustration, let us help! ":O}

Well it is working ok atm. I want to get a bigger pendrive, would a 4gb suffice or I need to buy 8gb? I dont want to play games just to browse and maybe work with some photos. TA

I would think that 4 gigs would be enough...But that said I'd go with at least an 8 gig....as there are always things you didn't foresee, but now really really want to install.

I have a question, rather than creating a bootable working pendrive could I install linux on a pendrive?

By the way, install Chromium in Linux and it handles flash for you. No more downloading/installing flash player!!!

With Mint I have been able to use Live Disk to boot Linux on any PC.
I have also updated it and installed programs. So it acts like an installed operating system.
But you can take it with you. Chrisbard let me know if you need detailed instructions.
Otherwise, my Mint 13 USB installation covers most of the steps.
