We're rather impressed with the Huawei Ascend D Quad. Its smart, has good ergonomics and is clearly very powerful. There are still plenty of questions pertaining to battery life and camera performance left to answer but nonetheless its one to keep an eye out for when it arrives in... October. Yes, that delayed launch could big the biggest problem this phone faces.

The LG Optimus 4X HD is clearly a very capable phone with features aplenty, but we just wonder if it's missing that wow factor - quad core alone isn't enough. It is though, one of the slimmest and lightest quad core phones, and is elegantly designed.
