Man that's a lot of jobs lost...I wonder what kind of bonuses this will require the stock holders to pay?

That's the same number as had been announced a little while ago though isn't it, rather than new layoffs?

I have an LG Android phone, but still have to wait for OS updates.

Still running Gingerbread, and might get Ice Cream Sandwich eventually, in October perhaps.

So, that's one good reason for me to not buy anther LG phone. If they can't be bothered, then neither can I.

It is a shame, as I'm waiting to see how the BB10 devices turn out - I want to replace my Android phone, because, frankly I'm a bit tired of it's gradual decline into unreliability. I already have a PlayBook, and that's a pretty neat bit of kit.

So far, only the Surface tablet appeals to me, just because it can run Lightroom.

Having said that, I won't be rushing out to buy one, I'll bet it would be frustratingly slow running that.
