RIM Says BlackBerry 10 Now in Hands of 50 Carriers for Testing

TORONTO--Research in Motion Ltd. (RIMM) said Wednesday that is has delivered its next line of smartphones to more than 50 carriers, who are now testing the devices for certification.

Typically, the "lab entry" of a new phone--distributing it to carriers so they can test that it meets their system requirements--is a fairly standard milestone in the development of a new device.
