Ram Screws Modem I'm trying to get my machine working with 2 or more 512 sticks of Ram. I started this project by putting a 256 stick in with a 512. The machine booted, but the modem didn't work. I took the 256 back and purchased 2 additional PNY 512 sticks. The machine wouldn't boot with more than 1 stick. I edited the sys.ini file per MS KB article and the machine boots. But the modem will not work with 2 sticks. I have tried all possible combinations and banks. It says there is an invalid com port. Device manager shows everything working properly w/o conflict. How can I get the modem to work with the extra Ram. FIC VC 11 mobo, P 4 1.6, 1 CMTLabs 512 stick, 2 PNY 512 sticks, W 98 SE, Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 400. The CMTLabs stick has the same Part # as the PNY, PNY techie says it's PNY Ram. Thanks, Sherm
