Ipod touch and Itunes

As some of you guys know, i've got an Ipod Touch. Problem is the only Currently working computer at home runs Windows 2000, and is currently refusing to upgrade. (not that it matters truely) but... The Ipod touch doesn't appear in 2000, so i take it every so often to the college to attempt to put files on to it. The college's computers all run XP, and are shut up tight for installing certain programs, ie Itunes and the Ipod's Drivers. I've been attempting to look for a program that will stop making XP think my Ipod's a Digital camera, and make it realize it's what it is, and also allow me to transfer my music. i had only put on about 752 songs onto my ipod, and they're getting dull. lol. So please help me! Obi-Wan you're our only hope... er... AOA you're our only hope!

so to rephrase what my problem is: I'd like a modified version of Itunes that can run on a jump drive! PLEASE and THANK YOU!

a cold one to who ever solves this first!

Found this, but you will still need access to a computer with xp and itunes installed.

Run iTunes from a USB Drive

Does the Ipod Touch reach out and touch you back? Just asking.

nope, though it does cranky if i don't touch it enough.

oh, re: needing Itunes for that porgram is still the problem, the computers i've been using either don't have Itunes (and i can't install it), or has itunes but not a new enough version (and has too old of an OS to upgrade it)

I have Itunes installed on my Dad's rig, I'll stop by there and grab the needed files, then upload or torrent them to you.

I have the Itunes files. It zipped up at 26MB, if you want them uploaded somewhere I'd be happy to do that.

Hmm, yeah, the problem with that setup is that it really requires iTunes to be installed on the PC before you can use it. That's a pain, as a lot of accounts won't have sufficient rights to install software.
