What is .NET? It's BIG and it's time to see why.

I only understood a little about .NET. This made me uneasy. After seeing the linked story on www.overclockers.com.au , I realized that .NET is much more than I realized. Please see Overclockers.com.Australia's front page. It's the first news item as of March 15. Sorry, the direct link: www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id686&page=1 doesn't seem to work.

I have done work, in class, with visual studio.NET and I can say that I really like it.
