| I'm looking on diving into soon too. What are you using it for? I know that I'll be using it to write database scripts for MySQL. I love open source products. They make it so the poor programmer has some tools. Good Luck with the PHP books.

| If you've got some basic programming skills, then you could do worse than take a quick look at webmonkey's PHP tutorial If you want stuff on PHP and MySQL, then take a look at URL=http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/programming/php/tutorials/tutorial4.html]webmonkey's PHP and MySQL[/URL]. I'd recommend starting with just PHP, as MySQL puts a lot more into it. Of course this assumes you already know something about programming. I started programming in a mix of BASIC and assembler, so don't follow my example. AidanII

| i started out with c++, but had to learn php and html for a new job. if you already have some programming background, its pretty easy. i would recommend reading the big red php book. the name is "Professional PHP Programming" written by 5 people which i'm not listing, published by wrox.
