For people running Linux clients, EMIII 2.1.8 is out. Version 2.1.8 improves Linux support with EMIII. It also adds a couple of minor features.

Gromacs is sick with Linux. Some people have reported as high as 20% performance gains with Gromacs and Linux. They're working on the performance somehow so scoring would be more even. I would think they would try to improve the Windows clients and not cripple the Linux clients.

In that case, I'm installing Mandrake 9.0 on my main rig just as soon as I make a disk image of my Win2k ![]() Gromacs is open source modeling software, as such was developed for Linux first more than likely, which would explain the better performance on Linux. |
