Probably very little that would be noticeable. The client is coded to be very nice [in Linux it is at the maximum niceness of 19], so it is supposed to use only cycles not used for other stuff. If it is running, and something else wants cycles, it should back down and you will notice your frame times get longer while other processes are running.

I suppose that there is a small delay while it backs off, but I wouldn't think it would be a deterrent.

Thanks for sticking to your guns, WZ

7 million points is a lotta points in a short time!

On that note, dsio has gotten past 3 million as well - good going, mate. noob is on 1.5 million, necorum is getting close to the same mark, and cw823 got over 1,250,000. RepoMan is getting close to 3.5 MM, as well. Our man Gizmo is going to close out 3,900,000 points this month, too, by the looks of it, and 4 million isn't going to be long after that.

Also, You_know_it_makes_sense passed 700,000 and Garret_Tow is nearing 900.

Great work fellas.

We've lost a number of folders, though, so if you have a friend or two that would be interested, sign 'em up. We're down to 21 active, so whatever anyone can do to help the cause let's do it.

...And WeldZilla has racked up another million...now at 8,000,000.

We also have ChrisRichards "Gizmo" ready to pass 4 million in the next couple of weeks, and Garrett_Tow over 900,000.

And not to be overlooked, our man Ron "dabaerman" has rolled up an absolutely staggering 43,000,000 points. And he's been having "trouble" (according to him )

Thank you one and all for your efforts, and all others who are still running a folding client. I know that the bills can get in the way of continuing, but don't ever forget the people we may be helping

the 'heil' part is a bit much, don't you think? I did get my inspiration for this folding thing from the rest of you.

it's all for the team and I get to pass all those who stopped FAH. also glad to see there are a few out there who are
putting down some huge numbers. and the list keeps on getting longer.

Go team 45, Go!!!!

Wake up everybody :\

We are now down to 17 active folders. I know it's expensive to keep lots of iron running, but some of you could get something going for us, even if it's a single client part-time. Every little bit counts.

On the news board, Ron "da-man" dabaerman has passed the staggering 50 MILLION points mark. WTG boss

Our man "Gizmo" Richards has gotten past 4,000,000, and Weldzilla and Repoman are about to get past big million milestones as well.

My thanks to everyone who hangs in there and keeps the crunching alive, but we have lost A LOT of team members. I can only guess that people's pockets are hurting. I hope that will change if the economy starts to look up after the election, if we can put an end to the US hemorrhaging money. In the meantime, is there something we should be doing that we're not (to promote folding)? Suggestions are welcome.

I am sorry my numbers are down a bit. I just had to RMA the last of my g.skill 6400 hz. Every last stick has finally died. they have been sending me F2-8500CL5D- 2GBPK 5-5-5-15 sets. At first I was pissed but i found when you are running them at 1200DDR 5-5-5-15 they actually have more bandwidth did the way more spendy HZ which is nolonger available.
So, as soon as my rma's come back I will be folding at full force again!!!
