it took two fresh installs to get the new system up and running first one had massive problems

dont ever buy a volcano 7 by thermal fake this hs is junk...best fan i could find in the local computer stores here in grand rapids

I like that background on the .02 box there. Very good placement of the F@H screen.

V3ry nice, Kat, and I gotta agree with Southern Man, nice background on *.2

What would be reccomended - a Dual XP1800+ (Turst me, you can Dualy them) or two XP1800?

.02 belongs to my son.. as you can imagine i almost did a backflip when i checked to see how the folding client was doing

I think it would roughly be the same... if you can get each client to work on its own unit.

They will perform almost identically. The dual rig might have slight lead over 2 machines because of the overhead imposed by the OS. With 2 machines you obviously need 2 OSes and that's twice the OS overhead over a dual CPU rig. The obvious benefit of a dual rig is that it saves in parts. You only need one case, one PSU, one HD, etc., etc., but it probably won't fold any faster. The other thing is, you can only run the console and you have to run it twice from seperate folders. No big deal if you use Win2K or WinXP since you can run them as scheduled tasks.
